arrested on charges that he used copies of clients' tax returns to steal their
identities.
• Montgomery, Ala.: Two more tax preparers have joined
those pleading guilty in a scheme involving more than $1 million.
• Washington, D.C.: Preparer Enyinnaya Udo was sentenced
to two years in prison and ordered to pay more than $262,966 in restitution
after being convicted by a federal jury of 25 counts of aiding and assisting in
the preparation of false individual income tax returns, the Justice Department
said.
• Virginia Beach, Va.: Paul Zimmerman Jr., 49, was
sentenced in a Norfolk, Va., court to 21 months' prison and one year of
supervised release for preparing false tax returns.
